	Welcome to your site. www.my-school-needs.co.uk has been developed to be a help and information site for all schools to use free of charge and at the same time provide a platform to enable good ideas and tips to be swapped between schools to help raise standards via grass roots. The site is privately funded with products designed to fill specific school needs and which will offer some form of trial so that you won't waste money. 	NAVIGATING YOUR WAY AROUND Each page is designed to give information on many topics that are addressed daily in school life. Anybody within your school community can access the information so please let everyone know about this site - your caretakers, kitchen staff, school nurse, secretaries and admin staff, teachers, governors and PTA - all have a responsibility in helping the school run smoothly and all can give and take away advice that will help them and your school. Helpful Hints - Here you will find helpful hints & tips on the most frequently asked questions with recommendations on how to deal with them, such things as 'how do I get coffee stains out of the carpet in the office?' or 'how can I unblock the drain in the boy's urinal?' or 'how can I remove graffiti off the school wall?' Janitor Joes Blog - This is a real time blog where you can ask a question or give an answer. Swap Shop - A great way to get rid of the things your school no longer needs or find those things you do. Swap your goods, sell them or give them away - but don't bin them everything can be recycled. 	HEADS & TEACHERS This site is aimed at giving schools lots of helpful information so we need your help to accomplish this. The idea is that this is a school site led by schools and we are here to promote your ideas and achievements. Our previous involvement with schools was to find, source and help individual schools with their enquiries and problems however many of these issues have been raised time and time again which obviously got us thinking! If one school has an issue then why not share that solution so that all schools have access to it so here we give you a website that you can truly do this with. If you have something to share then tell us, if you have a problem to solve then tell us, if you have a need or a want then tell us, if we don’t have the answer – we can ask over 15,000 other schools – surely one of them will know! CARETAKERS Through our experience we are aware that Site Managers have to have a knowledge bank for everything … from plumbing to electrics to cleaning to building to decorating to servicing and infact be an overall ‘Jack of All Trades’. Well this site is here to help you become a ‘Master’ of site management. We want you to tell us your schools problem or concern and also help us guide other schools by giving us solutions and recommendations. If you have a question we can help you find the answer with over 15,000 other caretakers to ask ... someone somewhere will be able to help. Whatever it is just email us and we will post your request. PTA & GOVERNORS Those of you who are concerned with raising funds for the school, arranging visits, organising events and much more we would like you to share your experiences with other schools. Whether it’s a really good fund raising idea or a day trip that really made a difference to your children if you think your experience can benefit others then let us put it on this site for others to see – don’t keep it to yourself. Whilst we know you can’t personally recommend companies or people how about telling us if you received a ‘great service’ we won’t mention your school (if you don’t want us to) but wouldn’t it be nice to let other schools know where they can get a great service too. LEA’s This site is for the benefit of all schools in the UK. The idea is that this can be an exchange of information, achievements, advice, recommendation, solutions, and much more. We want this site to be led by the schools and as such we expect that it will develop into something quite remarkable.
