This guide explains what sanitising does, how, why and when you should use it and where you should make it available;

How often do you send a child to wash their hands after they have sneezed or coughed into them?
The answer is probably none!

It’s simply too time consuming, impractical and inconvenient. What teacher has the time to monitor every child’s cough or sneeze? Obviously the answer is none … how ridiculous would it be to send a child to the bathroom to wash every time … particularly in the winter when cold and flu bugs are rife … you may as well hold your classes in the toilet!

And...Yet most common illnesses, colds, coughs, flu and illnesses such as mumps and measles are spread through coughing, sneezing and ‘contaminated hands!’

It does not take a genius to know how quickly a cold can spread – one cough – one germ – one hand and hey presto the cold is on its way around the classroom, the playground and the school.

THE CLASSROOM
